About us
OURTEAM
Avant Llíber is a new political party that is born to serve the interests of our village.
Heirs to the previous opposition in the council, we take the reins to ensure a more plural and democratic municipal government. With our participation, we want to promote change towards a more transparent and participatory way of doing politics. We want to be the voice of all those people who do not feel represented in the political life of Llíber and who believe that the resources of the town need to be managed more effectively.
The creation of our own brand is due to the need to open up the ideological spectrum to add diverse sensitivities and visions of the future that share a common goal: to improve the well-being of the people of Llíber while preserving what makes us special: our environment, our values and customs.
1 Candidate for Mayor
Caterina Ausina Fullana
My name is Caterina Ausina i Fullana, although many of you know me as Cati or Lina. From a very young age, I have known that being involved in politics is necessary and it is something that concerns us all. And now, after more than 30 years as a teacher, I am retired and have the desire and energy to take on this project.
In Avant Llíber, a group of diferent people who are committed to working together to make our dream village a reality, we share a vision of a vibrant and dynamic community that blends modernity and tradition.
My name is Francisco Caselles Diego, although everyone calls me Caselles. My hands are not those of a politician, but those of a tireless worker who loves the land as much as he loves people. My dream is that my granddaughters -and theirs too- can continue to live and enjoy the town of Llíber, preserving the land they may one day inherit. And that's why I take a step forward: I want to work with those who think like me or think differently, -always with respect for the ideas of others- to find the best solutions for today's Llíber, but also for tomorrow's.

It's my turn to introduce myself: I'm Lorena Serra Mas, and I'm part of this new project that we've created with a lot of enthusiasm and excitement. I want to contribute my bit to make an inclusive policy where diversity also has visibility in our town. Together, we want to achieve that Llíber gives the importance that sports and youth deserve. And I'm sure that we'll achieve it among all of us. Avant Llíber!

Hello, I'm Arnoud Brand, I'm 67 years old, I'm from the Netherlands, I've been living in Lliber for 14 years and now since 2 years I'm retired and I have time for my social contacts ( I’m secretary for the pensioners club “Pena Rotja” ) and also to dedicate myself to Avant Lliber: We need a party that has a 💜 heart for our beautiful village

My name is Hilary Fernàndez-Corugedo, I am English, however I have had the good fortune to live nearly half my life in Llíber.I have worked all of my life in education, most recently as the director of an international college. My children and now my grandchildren went to Llíber school. I support this project to bring fresh ideas and encourage a more open approach to local politics whilst preserving the values of our very special village.

Hillary Fernández-Corugedo
I am Eva Fullana Mas, 44 years old and I am a preschool teacher. I have been fortunate enough to be a councilor in my town this term and I am happy to be able to participate in this new project Avant Llíber, to continue the work we started four years ago with great enthusiasm and many doubts. We need to continue working for Llíber with courage, honesty, humility and transparency.

Eva Fullana Mas
I am Bernard Abeling, Dutch, but I live in Spain since 1986. In 1994, I purchased a plot of land in Llíber and built my house. Currently, I am retired and appreciate the environment in which we live, which is why I would like to collaborate to preserve it while respecting the environment.

I am Júlia Kruithof. Since I was a little girl, I have felt very fortunate to live in a privileged place like the Marina Alta; perhaps that's why I have always been concerned about environmental issues and it is probably one of the reasons why I studied Biology. Currently, I work
in education and I wanted to be part of this project to promote the
progress of our town in a sustainable way and defending our territory. Avant Llíber!

What we propose
Ourprogram
As our logo suggests, with the green circle on the purple background, we base our program on territorial, economic, and social sustainability. Our proposals, therefore, will be aimed at the development and defense of the well-being of the people of Llíber, our territory, crops, businesses, education, culture, and traditions. And we will fight against any kind of discrimination and against those predatory urban projects that pose a threat to the future of our village.

We will boost the vitality of the town with public funds to support small businesses and create new job and housing opportunities for the young and the elderly.
We will promote the recovery of abandoned terraces and crops.
- We will support sustainable growth and put a stop to large-scale urban developments.
- We will propose the creation of a regional brigade for forest protection.
– We will condition the roads and repair deteriorated spaces such as the playground.
– We will create more green spaces for sport (trees around the swimming pool, a botanical garden on the hill) and other areas for dance, theatre…
We will create an energy community to reduce energy consumption costs.
We will facilitate the legalization of irregular housing.
– We will recover the library.
– We will promote Activities that promote multilingualism as a cultural and integrative element for newly arrived children and families.
We will promote Campaigns and activities aimed at raising awareness of healthy habits, equality and respect for diversity.
